Troubleshooting DNS, Network, and SSL Issues in Web Apps

JC:
Does this sound like issues with client’s DNS?

I’ve narrowed it down on my end to a few devices that are on our network. For some reason when on network, some desktops aren’t able to reach it as well as cell phones.
As soon as we’re off network and using like a hotspot, all devices are able to have our web browsers resolve.
Client is reporting issues with some users not connecting to web app or “Not Secure” connections.

Delfs:
yeah it sounds like some devices are routing through an appliance that is blocking the domain, or as you said the DNS is not resolving.

JC:
what kinds of firewall or dns issues have people run into when implementing a setup were the server in BF has been configured to connect to a IP address vs a domain name, however DNS CNAME was still added for custom domain via Betterforms alias

Delfs:
If by up I do t think the cert will validate.

That shouldn’t affect the cname as that in will still resolve to that server. Or should.

JC:
You are correct this still resolves without issue, which leads me to believe the real problem still lies in my clients network

JC:
Thanks for your input Charles
